1. The expansion of Insomnia Radio (IR Austraila IR Liverpool IR Chicago restarts)

2. Audio Drama Rating system implementation.

3. Jack Ward I was at the local comic shop "Strange Adventures" and there was a little jar that said "For Prince Valiant" so I asked the guy what it was about. Every time someone buys a Prince Valiant comic collection or book, they donate the money into the fund to build a Prince Valiant statue on the bank of the shores of Halifax. Apparently the guy who wrote it.. I think was Hal Foster. Anyway.. he’s FROM Halifax.. Born right by the harbour.. so they want to put the statue up in his honour.
They’ve got bout 2500 they need 10 times that.. 25000 to do it. The local Foundries will do it at cost. I need to get the net community on this. I think its a wonderful project for those who love comics and particularly Prince Valiant to honour the man who created it!

That does for this month, We’ll see you on the other side.

Also coming up the finale to their production of Escape from New York, which I am told is going to be explosive.

Oh and one last thing – We here at Wander Radio wish to congratulate Les Zaldor from Zaldor’s World on hitting 300 episodes – Since this episode releases on his birthday we will also wish him a Happy Birthday although I will not confirm that the old fart is actually turning 40. Yes that was a bonus spotlight there featuring the music of John Smith out of Miami Florida. A truly fictional independant artist that is featured in the story 7th Son written by JC Hutchins. Well by the time you hear this the secret is already out. John Smith is a fictional character from the novel 7th Son by JC Hutchins JC’s 7 year journey to see his book in print had finally come to an end and his fans were ready. The book topped 188 on the Amazon chart on the day of the release. As a promotional idea JC called on his friend Matthew Wayne Selznick to write and record a series of songs as John Smith and these songs are referenced in the book. This has been a lot of fun to watch and it has been great to see an author reach his dreams. 7th Son is available as a free audio podcast book over at JC’s website. Links for all the artists in this show are in the shownotes, Thank you for listening.

Here is a clip of what was found on the recorder. I will break in as more information becomes available.

Alright this is just getting ridiculous. Still no sign of the Wolf this is so not like him He never lets me play in the studio this long by myself…David Sobkowiak BSAP’s web god has come up missing although it is suspected that the cute dynamic duo of Draven and Caira had unleashed rabid man eating sea-monkeys on the poor man. I would play the clip here but it is just too disturbing. David never had a chance. The Devilish duo has been reported to have unleashed on the world Zombie Wombats. Only from the imagination of a couple of little girls I would have used something more creative like a clone army of Hannah Montana’s fans…

  • A Walk in the Sun

LAF -The band was first formed in the mid 80s by Phil Matthews and Alastair Boden as a vehicle for their self-penned songs that were recorded in a small studio in Phil’s house.

Originally named Lost and Found (well it was the era of Hue and Cry, Tears For Fears et al) the pair released a ten track album titled Ten By Two which admittedly made them sound like a DIY store rather than a band, but it provided a blueprint for what was to come.

That’s gonna do it for this episode of Wander Radio. Thanks for listening. This came across my desk as I putting this together Stuart Morrison over at Insomnia Radio UK is celebrating 3 years of podcasting the UK show. What he is doing is going back and picking his top 10 favorite songs from each year and replaying them in the show. I just wanted to mention this because 1. Stuart Morrison puts together an awesome podcast of music that comes out of the UK so I believe you will enjoy it especially if you like the music of this show.

2. This is a chance to hear some of the "Greatest Hits" from Indie bands coming out if the UK in the last 3 years all in one spot. How can you pass that up.

Congrats Stuart here’s to us not having a life. ;)

Warning next month’s music show will not be kid friendly – I am going to say that now, because it is the Halloween episode and I have been given permission to use some slightly disturbing poetry. So be on the look out for that on the 24th and the sneak preview on the 31st. Again thanks for listening and we’ll see you on the other side.

Broken Sea Audio Productions has released 500 episodes. The team has done it over several shows such as Fan Productions like Doctor Who which seems to be ongoing as well as complete stories like Planet of the Apes Logan’s Run. They also have original work Gaia’s Voyages, The Grog and Gryphon and Maudelayne.

Catwoman the Queen of Thieves has completed its first year.(12 issues at one a month) written by Kristen Bays and produced by Pendant Productions, the 12th issue of Catwoman Queen of Thieves occurs at the half way point of the totally awesome crossover Ex Tempus. Also even more news out of Pendant, the original work "Once Upon a Time in Vegas" written by Alicia Laine Matheson and Rene Jones present a very adult fairy tale/soap opera. The compelling story has completed 2 seasons congrats to all involved.

And finally coming in September, The Sonic Society and Decoder Ring Theater starts their next seasons, 19 Nocturne Blvd has 2 stories coming out Drawer 23 and Dracula dot com, both written by Julie Hoverson so they are going to be good. But the piece of information that I had missed before but was brought to my attention by a fan of Audio Drama over at Audio Drama Talk – Final Rune Productions is working with Mad Horse Theater Company to remake some classic OTR scripts you can find out more with the links in the shownotes.
